Start a Model UN Club
Model United Nations provides an amazing opportunity for teenagers everywhere to get involved in solving global issues. It provides a collaborative, fun environment to learn about our world, while competing.
Here at International Relations for Teens, we are of the firm belief that Model UN should be accessible for all. We offer support in starting and maintaining MUN clubs at your schools.
If your school does not have a Model UN or if you want to expand your horizons as a club, we offer the resources and support for you to do just that, for we believe that knowledge is power.

Three easy steps to start your own MUN club
Starting a club begins with you. The youth who will lead us in the future need the knowledge and skills to ensure peace and prosperity for years to come. This is where Model UN can play such a huge role, for it helps spread awareness about important issues, while imparting valuable life skills on all participants.

-
In order to start a MUN club at school, you are going to need the support and guidance of a teacher or member of the staff. With their help you can begin to create a plan.
-
At most schools you need to fill out an application for a club or create a charter. This is the step formalizing your existence as a student activity.
-
Next it is time to recruit members. Hang fliers and make announcements to get others to join your club. After gaining members it becomes time to teach them about Model UN and to attend conferences. This stage is where IR for Teens can really step in and lend a helping hand. We will work to provide you with advertising and educational materials to teach your members about MUN and how to succeed at MUN.
